Woodgate & Clark, one of the U.K.’s leading loss adjusters, has appointed highly skilled claims professional, Mike Higgins as its new Operations Director. Higgins replaces Graeme Fitzpatrick who has retired, following 12 years with Woodgate & Clark.
Bringing close to three decades experience in insurance and claims management, Higgins joins Woodgate & Clark from Crawford where he was Head of Construction.
Higgins started his insurance claims career with a large composite insurer before moving into loss adjusting in 2002 when he joined GAB Robins as a liability adjuster. Here he progressed to Director of Operations for Property. After 8 years with the business and a brief period in a niche liability practice, Higgins took up the role of London Market Director in the Construction Team at Crawford in 2015. He then progressed into a number of leadership roles spanning Real Estate and Field Operations. Higgins also spearheaded a field team development programme at the business.
As Operations Director at Woodgate & Clark, Higgins will join the company’s Board of Directors. He will take overall responsibility for day-to-day loss adjusting operations of the business, helping to ensure that the company's overall goals and objectives are met in the delivery of holistic claims solutions to the insurance market.
James Eveling, MD of Woodgate & Clark said: “We are delighted to attract someone of Mike’s calibre to our business as we enter a very exciting chapter in our growth following the integration of Quadrassist and Spotlite Claims, and as we plan to merge with Van Ameyde UK. It is vital that we remain focused on the solutions that make a difference to the cost of claims for insurance providers and for the end customer journey – Mike has the right mix of experience and skills to ensure that focus remains steadfast, whilst also driving innovation and talent programmes.”
